Digital Assets historically generate most of their yearly performance in an incredibly short period of time.
These are known as Parabolic Moves.
Definition: The term “parabolic move” came about as trader slang. It refers to when an investment makes an upward price move that looks like the right side of a parabolic curve: A parabolic move occurs when the speed at which the investment’s price goes up increases exponentially.
We’ve Been Here Before
Bitcoin went from a low of $900 to a high of $20,000 in 2017. A considerable gain in one year! It’s important to note that the largest part of that increase was in the 60-days leading up to the high.

$5,590 – $20,089
Bitcoin is not the only crypto to see increases of such magnitude in a short period of time.

History favors the proactive.
At iTrustCapital we regularly hear clients panicking to get their accounts funded. They wait until the market starts to move up to get started, and now are counting the gains they are missing out on. Of course, had they started setting up their account and initiating transferring their funds sooner, they would be able to execute trades at any time.
IRAs take some time to fund, and just because the account is open and funded doesn’t mean you can’t wait to make your investment until you are ready.
If you know you want to invest but are not sure of the exact timing, at least get your funds in a position to invest at a moment’s notice. You never know what event may happen that triggers the next run to all-time highs.
